1. General Terms

Welcome to Orion Jewellers. By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service, subject to applicable South African consumer protection laws.

Orion Jewellers reserves the right to update its products, pricing, policies and website content. Changes will not retrospectively affect confirmed orders.

2. Products & Specifications

Orion Jewellers specialises in sterling silver jewellery, engagement rings, wedding bands and gemstone jewellery.

We aim to represent our products accurately. Minor variations in gemstone appearance, dimensions, lighting and finishing may occur, provided products remain consistent with their advertised descriptions and confirmed specifications.

3. Sterling Silver & Rhodium Plating

Our sterling silver jewellery is manufactured using 925 sterling silver unless otherwise specified.

Customers acknowledge that:

• Sterling silver naturally tarnishes over time.

• Rhodium plating is not permanent and gradually wears away.

• Water, chemicals, perfumes and perspiration may accelerate deterioration.

• Sterling silver is softer than gold and platinum and requires appropriate care.

• Replating, polishing and restoration may incur additional charges.

Normal wear and expected plating deterioration are not automatically manufacturing defects. Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

4. Orders & Payments

All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR).

Full payment is required before order processing or manufacturing begins, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Customers must verify their ring sizes, delivery details and specifications before completing checkout.

Orion Jewellers may decline orders involving unavailable products, unsuccessful payments, suspected fraud or material listing errors, subject to applicable law.

5. Ring Sizing

Customers are responsible for providing accurate ring sizes. Professional sizing is strongly recommended.

Incorrect sizes supplied by customers may result in additional resizing or replacement charges.

Certain designs, including eternity rings, may not be suitable for resizing.

Where Orion Jewellers supplies an incorrect size, an appropriate remedy will be provided at no additional cost.

6. Manufacturing & Processing

Certain jewellery items are manufactured or prepared after an order is placed.

Estimated manufacturing timelines will be communicated through product listings or order correspondence.

Production may be affected by supplier availability, quality control and unforeseen delays.

Customers will be informed of material delays, and applicable statutory delivery rights will be honoured.

7. Shipping & Delivery

Orders are delivered using selected courier providers.

Customers must provide accurate delivery information. Additional charges may apply where incorrect customer details result in unsuccessful delivery attempts.

Risk of loss or damage remains with Orion Jewellers until delivery to the customer or an authorised recipient, as required by law.

8. Returns, Refunds & Cancellations

Orion Jewellers offers a 7-calendar-day return period from delivery for eligible items, subject to our Refund & Return Policy.

Customised or personalised jewellery may be excluded from change-of-mind returns where permitted by law.

Customers retain statutory rights concerning defective, incorrect or non-compliant goods, including the applicable six-month implied warranty under the Consumer Protection Act.

Eligible online purchases remain subject to statutory cooling-off provisions.

9. Jewellery Care, Repairs & Warranty

Customers should remove jewellery before swimming, exercising, cleaning or undertaking activities that may cause damage.

Accidental damage, improper handling and ordinary wear are not automatically manufacturing defects.

Repairs, resizing and replating may incur additional charges.

Manufacturing defects and qualifying product failures will be addressed in accordance with applicable consumer protection legislation.

10. Website Content & Intellectual Property

Original Orion Jewellers branding, photographs, designs, written content and graphics remain the intellectual property of Orion Jewellers or their respective rights holders.

Unauthorised commercial reproduction or misuse of protected content is prohibited.

Website errors may be corrected where necessary, subject to existing contractual and consumer rights.

11. Privacy & Liability

Personal information is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Orion Jewellers is not responsible for damage arising solely from customer misuse, accidental impact or improper jewellery care.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Governing Law & Contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, including the Consumer Protection Act, Electronic Communications and Transactions Act and POPIA.
